On Tuesday, April 18, 2023, a group of the LWML ladies toured Graham Creek Nature Preserve. They were greeted by David Eckman, Jr., Forester, at the City of Foley. He explained about the Pitcher Plants and how they eat insects, their beautiful blooms, disc golf, various activities and tournaments held at Graham Creek Nature Preserve, the archery practice field for both adults and youth, and many other offerings at the Preserve. The Center is available for rent for weddings, receptions, parties, etc.
The ladies learned they are gearing up for hydroponic gardening. The produce will supply schools and food banks with homegrown, fresh vegetables in the future.
